Weekly, 1-hour lessons are taught in the Star Violin Studio in Bedford, MA by Alice Hallstrom. These in-person, private lessons are essential on the path to violin mastery.
Lessons are taught in a 15 or 10-week semester with 1 additional week for make-up lessons. I invite all prospective students to begin by schedule a free first lesson to see if I am the right teacher for you.
Through the three pillars of the Star Violin Studio, I develop your mental fortitude, artistic sensibilities, and technical abilities. My structured, thoughtful, and joyful approach to development ensures that you make the most of your time in our studio and in your practice room.
Parental attendance is required for students under the age of 18.
$2,250 for 15-week Fall or Spring Semester
$1,500 for 10-week Summer Semester
* For students under 8 years old, 30-min violin lessons are available for $1,650 per semester. Audition-only. Limited availability.
Auditions are unlike any other performance. Your chances to stand out increase through planning, discipline, and LOTS of hard work. A bit of coaching helps too.
Through my experiences judging auditions and preparing for them myself, I have learned the hard way what works and what doesn't.
If you are 2 - 4 months away from a daunting audition, my well-used audition-prep protocol, score markings, and mock auditions will give you an advantage when your bow goes zipping down that Kreisler highway.
$750 for 5 lessons & mock audition
Disciplined daily practice is the foundation for musical mastery. I help you structure your practice sessions to be more productive and focused. It's both the quantity and the quality of the practice that counts!
"Practice. The better it is the better it gets. The better it gets, the better it is."
